About the Artist

Jennifer Sinclair is an Acrylic and Mixed Media painter residing in Nova Scotia.
Primarily self-taught, she has continued to learn and explore her artistic style through extended studies and regular practice.
Although she still loves playing and experimenting with many different mediums and subjects, her primary focus has been expressive portraits of people and animals using acrylics. Her portrait commissions are in private collections across Canada and as far as China.

Artist Statement

Through portraiture and figurative work, I explore the intricacies of connection, relationships, and emotion. My paintings are a snapshot in time that can tell a story as well as capture the subject's character and state of mind. My intent is for the viewer to feel connected to the beauty in ordinary things and to resonate with the emotion and love with which each piece is created.
